Need advice - i was caught up in round of layoffs. Last day will be in June. I am looking for roles and m in final rounds for a role. HR called today saying they are interested in my skills but cant do H1 transfer. I have 485 based EAD and can start new job on it.However I am worried about the following:
1) the role is very different from my current role
2) new employer is ok to file 485j in same SOC code but only in case of RFE
3) my spouse is on H4 EAD and her company is filing for first time

Need some feedback! So I was forced to move jobs about 6 months ago due to reorg and the new leader opting to bring their existing EA with them, without even meeting me. If stayed at the company but accepted an offer for a job outside of the department I was in. I’ve now been asked by a manager from my old department to apply for a job they’re opening that would be a 2 step promotion. She thought she got my managers permission to approach me (see comments)

After 10 rounds of interviews for a TPM position the recruiter says he will set me up for team alignment, and then take it to HC for a decision. Is this the normal process? Isnt HC decision done first

Received a verbal offer/commitment from the engineering team 3 weeks after my interview process. Still sitting and waiting (1.5 weeks) to have the conversation about compensation expectations and finalizing the offer. Is the Google hiring process typically this slow?
