Need help from our SkyTeam friends.

I like to have family accounts for frequent flier programs since my family members (all adults) do not travel often and it’s helpful to pool their miles. I use BA for OW and AC for Star Alliance. For SkyTeam, AF allows family accounts but only 2 adults. I’m considering Aeromexico. Is it better to have 2 AF family accounts or 1 AM family account? Are redemptions equivalent for those familiar with the programs?
