I’ve completed all interview rounds (technical + managerial), submitted all required documents, and signed the LoA for background verification. The helpdesk and HR both confirmed that my profile is currently in the “offer stage,” but I haven’t had the HR discussion for compensation yet.

It’s been over a week since BGV initiation, and I’m still waiting for the next update or HR call.

My co-worker was hired in at manager level but somehow “proved” he was actually doing director level work and got a title promotion and salary increase in less than a year. I also went above and beyond my job as well (covering for him for a month while he was away on paternity leave) while taking on other projects outside of my job title and got zip—no raise or recognition. How long is too long to try to push back a start date? Getting a formal offer early next week but trying to keep that big law bonus if possible. Firm pays out bonuses Dec 30 & I have a vacation scheduled Dec 19-23 (and was planning on working remotely the week after too). Ideally want to get EOY bonus or negotiate for a signing bonus but is it too much to push for signing bonus and those weeks off? I'm open to working remotely those two weeks but know that may not be the best when I start.
