Hiring a couple mid-level to senior brand design and art directing roles at a start-up in NYC. ~100 people. Both salary ranges are 80-90k. Must have experience in related roles -- no recent grads. I'm the CD (not a recruiter!) and you'd work under me. Happy to answer questions.

My position in sales, growing existing accounts with my company, is being eliminated in October. I either take a bit of a pay cut to do something really similar but more stable on the service side, or move to new business (which is not attractive to me), or I find something new. Is it fair they are having me interview just to basically keep my position after 7 years of doing it successfully meeting targets? Or is it time for me to look elsewhere?

I asked for revised compensation from infosys based on parallel offer letter and got below response:
Compensation is determined for various roles, based on the competency and the experience a candidate comes in with. We also look at ensuring parity amongst any other internal employee with similar competency.  Considering these facts, we will not be in position to change compensation.
Please advise how to negotiate further.

I was approached for a potential job by a recruiter. In the informational meeting they mentioned that the hiring manager and I are connected.
