New to the agency world. Can someone help me decode titles? Seeing so many different director titles. Director, managing director, group director, senior director, executive director, senior partner group director. Curious about the “partner bit” as well.. are they invested in the agency?

One of my friend came back from USA last month, he has done MS from there and he has 4 years of experience as a continuous improvement engineer, now he has looking for a job in India, he is going for a final round for continuous improvement assistant manager in a MNC and we are trying to find out how much salary he should ask as per his experience and profile.

Why do companies do this? I interviewed with a company. They loved my work and told me that I’m going to start the following week. They made me sign all of the onboarding papers and poof ghosted me! 🤦‍♀️ I feel so down right now! And I feel like I won’t be able to ever land a job!
