You’re talking about the impact. I’m speaking about the possibility. Those are two different topics.

Realistically, what institution(s) could prevent it?

Interesting - elaborate?

‘Understanding’ is a nebulous term, and so is this post. It doesn’t take an advanced understanding of the maths that have been used to formulate and support theories and conclusions regarding tariffs if all you’re attempting to do is understand if they’re considered positively inefficient.

I'd rather retake calculus than mess with tax laws

A lot of high paid individuals in these comments not grasping OP’s message.

Probably because it is poorly worded and doesn’t make sense?

Do we know if there is a sponsoring partner that oversees this benefit/ program that I could have more of a heart to heart conversation with? Not getting too far with the general email box and admin contact. However, anything related to IVF or medical procedures has to go through insurance (also limited to $50k lifetime benefit). Continued…

For startup founders/people with a successful side project: How did you get the idea/inspiration for your business? I’m currently working at a Series B startup and my end goal has always been to found my own startup, but I graduated from college 2.5 years ago and I still have not had any great ideas cross my mind. I do spend a fair amount of time brainstorming. I don’t want to continue working here forever, but I’m struggling to generate that “this is it” idea to build a company for. Any advice?

However, there is little to no learning and its very slow, the project is just starting and the client itself is not clear what they want. Do you think I should switch just because its a big 4. Please help me decide. Yoe -3.5

Advice needed - boyfriend has almost 3.5 years of finance experience at a bank. Interviewed for PwC valuation senior associate and now recruiter says they want to hire him at “experienced associate” because he has no valuation experience. Is this too big of a step backwards in career? Should he push back and see if it gets him anywhere? If he does accept Associate, is it reasonable to ask for written, definitive timeline (1 year?) for promo to Senior upon meeting standards? Help!

Are private companies easier to work at than public companies in accounting? We have such an accelerated close deadline at the publicly traded company I’m at now, I really hate the inflexible tight deadlines and analysis seems to drag on forever after that. We also close AP/AR very early in the month yet that doesn’t stop payments/receipts from happening so we’re constantly adjusting our accruals until the end of month. Do private companies start their close after the month actually ends?
