I have been fighting against a lifelong workaholic streak I’ve had. If you’ve ever struggled to relax during free time or feel best when you are putting my fires out, you may be shocked to learn that your brain may actually have developed a physical addiction to the adrenaline of being forced to perform. My therapist mentioned this might happen and I certainly have felt it. You can make it through the withdrawals! This is a great piece on it :

Be aware of any weird roads near you. My apartment complex has an unusual entrance and I saw a Waymo get stuck in it. Just backing up and pulling forward over and over again. It ended up on the wrong side of the "road" (no lines for it to reference) and I had to pull around it to leave. But they seem great in standard areas/streets.
I’m planning on trying it. No way it would be worse than the local uber drivers
I've done Waymo rides when I spent time in SF. They normally work well, but they have their quirks - they might make you walk down the street from where you are supposed to be picked up, for example, just because they feel like it. Also, they can get confused with thing like double parked cars - we had one just stop and wait in the second lane of a multi-lane road because the parked car confused it. We had to push the help button to get support to get moving again. They work reasonably well, if you don't expect too much.
