Hey Guys,
I got a call from Infosys HR on 16-September-2022 that I have been successfully selected for the job position of Test Analyst at Infosys, as per our conversation I have to receive an offer letter within 15 days, but I haven’t received it till now.
Now They have sent a mail that your Candidature is on hold. Is this happened with anyone else also.
Please do suggest on this guys.

they couldnt care less about your feelings
Come on man, don't play with our feelings like that
This aint high school lol...they probably didnt have any openings previously but now they do. If they are emailing back it shows even more that they think you could be a good candidiate for the job
The feelings part was a joke guys
They don’t care about your feeling when you work there. What makes you think they care about them when you don’t...
My bad EY dont roast me
No. We have a sudden need for more auditors. It’s difficult to budget the right headcount
Is there opening for EY advisory too?
So I just went through interviews and basically the process is they pick the top people to extend offers to and then the substitutes if one of those people says no. What could have happened is one of those people refused their offer and now your getting it.
They need someone for busy season. Your feelings arent special.
It happened to me at Deloitte but they told me it was an opening in a different practice.
I interviewee with the big 8 in 1989 and was not good enough for any of them. The last 13 years i am at ey. Before ey i was at pwc for almost 7., did i get any better? I think not. Its business and supply and demand. Feelings dont come into the equation
Agree with EY3, either they extended offers to their top candidates and more declined than they expected or they just received approval to add a few more new hires, or some combination. While you missed the initial cut you were one of their fall back options.
The person they offered back out and you were on the reserves...would take it if you want the job people forget first picks versus reserves almost immediately, especially if you do well
