My final round with Deloitte for UK Tech Consulting Manager position soon. Strangely it’s not a PMD round as it usually is for other Big4/tech consulting firms.
1. Can anyone tell me if they’ve been through the whole process without speaking to PMD? (First round Sr Manager, second Case Interview by a manager and third again by a manager) 2. What is a typical salary to expect? I was asked in screening but kept it vague (e.g can discuss later bla bla). I was hoping 75-80 (ridiculous?)
Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?

Well, on a serious note.. I don’t think this should affect your hiring.. HRs generally do need to meet a target. So it’s their job to complete your hiring process. Such accusations are made on them on a regular basis by candidates.. If you are the right candidate for the job and hiring manager liked you in the interview, you won’t be affected by this.. They can’t just take offence on such a thing and hold off your offer..
Just make sure that next time you contact them in between 11 AM to 5 PM and remember, 1-3 PM is lunch break 😉
