Are there any fundamental differences between a salary negotiation during the start (applying for the job) vs. Salary negotiation during a performance review (you’ve been employed for x time and looking for a raise). I’m in the latter and wondering if there are any maneuvers that are different I should be doing.

What’s the best way to turn down a 2nd interview? During the 1st interview, I learned that the compensation for the role is not within the range that I am looking for and requires 400 more billable hours a year than what I bill now. I’d basically be laterally for my current salary just to bill 400 more hours. I also wasn’t aware that the local office was strictly ID. Firm website advertises lots of practice areas. Any advice? I am having 8.7 YOE JAVA Backend developer and having offer from Nagarro now.
So I wanted to know about the BGV process, like what docs they ask like docs from all of the past employers ?
And do they ask after joining or before joining ?
As I dont have exp letter from my 1st company (with 1.6 yoe) which was a small startup.
It was a absconding case so couldnt get any exp letter but I do have payslips, bank statements, appointment letter & last appraisal letter from that company.

Coming from digital consulting after 1.5 years what would be the best role to apply for?

I am a Product Owner with 4+ YOE. I have been in my current role for 4 months and have continuously found that this role and company are not the right fit for me. Looking back on everything they said during the interview process it turns out that the culture, product and role are not aligning with anything we discussed. The number of the alumni and current students that go to top consulting firms FT& summer intern are countless even for a small class size.
Stern is way more than a finance school. Given its location, do you want to spend your 2 years in a rural area or heart of Manhattan? Location is almost everything for business school. (I have a friend in Cornell that frequently travels about 5 hours to NYC for events.)

Why do bschools omit average acceptance gpa from their public class profile stats? Some do sure, but a large majority in T25 don’t 🧐

Would you suggest someone pursuing an MBA if they want to get a role in HR or Project Management? And for those that want to pursue product management... are there still a decent amount of numbers similar to accounting? Thanks
