We have the day off, but we don't really talk about it as a company. Other than acknowledging the day off, and a throwaway social media post. I would love for there to be a bigger discourse around the meaning of the holiday, but nobody seems to have time for that.

Same here, we get the day off, but there’s not much conversation beyond that. It would be nice to see more intentional recognition or even a discussion about why it matters. It feels like a missed opportunity for reflection and learning.
Same as HFA. We've got the day off, no real discussion about or real acknowledgment of it though. But there isn't much of that for any of the other holidays either, so it's not exactly a surprise.

That sounds familiar. We have the day off too, but it's pretty quiet otherwise. No real acknowledgment or conversation. It kind of blends in with how other holidays are treated, which I get, but it does feel like a missed chance to be more thoughtful.

My company sent a news letter to acknowledge and we had the day off last year, but this year nada. I think it was turned into a flex holiday

That’s interesting. It sounds like a quiet shift. A flex day isn’t bad, but it definitely changes the tone.
