Paris, let alone France, is difficult to explore well in limited time and two trips is a better plan. My recommendation is do Italy first: Rome, Naples/Pompei, Tuscany, Venice, Florence, and back out of Rome. Depending upon what you enjoy (museums, archeological sites, cuisine, shopping, beaches, local culture, landscapes, overnight trains, etc...) add or scale back, but whatever you choose- go back to Europe- your travel bug will be awoken!
Sorry should have added earlier female 🐠 here ; any places to avoid for safety concerns ?
Are you going to ALL of Europe? Specifics please
If you’re doing Rome I highly recommend doing the Colosseum, the Vatican, St. Peter’s Basilica and a day trip to Pompeii. If you’re interested in the history you should download Rick Steves’ audio guide and save money instead of doing the tour guides
Did solo trip last year. Wasn’t a huge fan of Madrid but enjoyed Paris, Rome, Florence, London and Barcelona
How many days did you take ?
We need more than that. What are you interested in?
I always wanted to go to Europe m. Want to do Paris, Italy but I can’t decide what all I should do in 10 days it’s too less to cover all. Looking for suggestions to see what in Italy / France I can and should cover.
I did a trip one year that took me to Greece, Croatia and Morocco. Bit much to do in 10 days, so I’d pick 2 of those, or swap one out for Spain. Can’t go wrong with any of them.
Develop a good relationship with a wine maker and if you do that they usually give you a standing offer to go chill with them for a few days and you can learn about that process. I did that and it made for a few days in a great solo trip I did out there. My goal is to have wine maker friends all over the world so I can always tie visiting them in other trips.
