Would it help if i stayed in India PE role for a few more years and then try to move or would gaining SEA experience help get me into a PE role in SGP in a few years? Most of my bowls are currently all about lay-offs and long times in between client projects, regardless of industry/function. Am curious if we sustainability folks are feeling it as much as the rest of our businesses? How does one go about switching practice groups within the same firm? I was under the impression it’s better to lateral elsewhere but I do really like my firm, just not the work in this practice area. Want to switch from transactional to litigation.

I have been on a project for over a year and have been managing workload of a role at a much higher pay rate. It is time to renew my contract and I know the client/project I am on will not pay my consulting firm more as the client historically does not increase pay for consultants (I have seen great talent leave for this reason).
