The easiest way to avoid being micromanaged is to be proactive. Most micromanagers have specific things they get worked up about - figure out what they are and make sure you’re never in a position where your manager has to ask for them or tell you what to do.
I’m going through that right now. At the end of the day, if being micromanaged is impacting your mental health (which it does for I imagine the majority of people) then that is part of the work/life equation

Is this specific to your manager? How long does that tenure last?
Those are my thoughts. I remember gritting my teeth untiknmy micromanager changed. I just remebered everhthing else in my job that made it worthwhile!
Send your manager resume to all the recruiters anonymously. Hopefully he is out soon. Sounds silly and creative but it worked for me :)
