Please, human resources/talent acquisition firms, stop recording the candidate's face on cam & their voice (tone/language/etc) while also using AI to evaluate and write notes on the candidate.

I was recently in this situation, unbeknownst to me, I was being recorded and where I had AI used on me to determine my candidacy for a CEO position, after I had already been screened/pushed ahead for the interview.

Ethics, fairness, equity, and morals need to be put back in, for the candidates sake.

2nd year junior attorney applying to new positions in the Southern California area. Every firm that’s called me to interview are smaller firms with salary ranges of 80-90k. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong — I have had multiple people review my resume, cover letters, etc. It seems like it’s a decently hot market, and I’m just out here getting frustrated.

What would you do if you didn’t need money? I have a fair amount coming one day and don’t actually need to work to live a good life (middle / upper-middle class). I work because of this vague notion of “ambition” and because everyone I grew up around is highly competitive and hard driving. I just feel unhappy so often and am wondering what this is all leading to. Scared I’m wasting my life being unhappy / in turmoil cause it’s what my culture wants me to do.
