Please suggest, Is it good to switch from QA to Development (Frontend) after working 10 years in QA?

I have exposure to JavaScript/Typescript in test automation. Thinking now to shift from QA to React.JS development. Capable to creating small apps using React.JS.

What i have seen in my experience is development guys are getting paid well than QA. if i think of future QA ultimately boils down to handling people as you get promoted, rather than remaining close to technology.

I work in healthcare administration but was a medic for years. You learn so much about innovation but seems like most health systems just want people to fall in line and just do what's always been done. I would take a pay cut to work for a system that's actually trying to do something disruptive in the Industry as opposed to just using buzz words in ppt.

My first switch took me to 9LPA from 6LPA and now the second switch is being offered for 11.5LPA where I can see my fellow friends in SAP having more than 15LPA at the same experience on their second switch itself. I've been at my company since 2016, and am now a design consultant - speaking to customers directly and creating custom artwork and designs for them. I feel like every company lies about “working your way up.” You’re never allowed to blatantly say that you don’t like your position and you’d like to transition to HR or Finance. It’s almost as if once you get in claims, you’re stuck.

If you’re a manager and you see an employee that wants to branch out into a different department, why would you keep them boxed in for 2+ years?
