Interviewing tomorrow and the company has communicated their intention to make an offer by the end of next week. 1) would you take this offer so close to busy season; 2) is the quick hiring decision a red flag? Enough to steer clear of position? It’s a promotion to manager for me and - little over 25% base pay increase.
Hypothetically if your counselor didn't recommend you for promotion to senior from staff 2 how would you react? Specifically if your metrics and reviews have all been good? Would you blow up?
I freelance PM for a small firm, 2 male owners, all else are ICs. When managing certain campaigns I am the ONLY one from my team doing the bulk of the work. My agency’s profit margins are ridiculous. Example, they’ll charge a small firm $10k for a project that costs them $3k. I, who will have managed the entire project, might pocket up to $1k. The owners, who do nothing, pocket $6k. Yet when I ask for a raise, it’s a big issue. I love the work, but I am clearly underpaid and valued. Need advise!
About to be promoted to SA in December. Is it smart to wait out for the promotion before moving out of consulting?
Is a 20% raise insane to ask for? (If you also get a title change - jr to mid level / mid level to senior)
I just got promoted. I also just got a job offer. A job offer at an agency I’ve dreamed at working at for years. No real growth in the promotion, just a fancy title but I’ve only been here a year. 😣
Stay on my current project through July 31st for the best chance at my consultant promotion, or take my April roll off date for an LLP project out of AFS, and risk delaying the promo...
Asking for advice (work at pwc), I was promoted mid year to manager and a few months later Covid... I’m very thankful to have a job but given the pandemic the pay bump was nothing to be excited about. With the way things are going, I am anticipating no pay raise next year. I’m being paid as a 4th year senior and trying to wrap my head around if it’s my time to leave the firm and go to another firm for more $$. I don’t work an insane amount of hours but not getting paid for my worth.
Living in London vs New York. Wich one is more expensive for a couple looking to raise a family? Salaries are higher in the US but I feel that expenses are much lower in London. Thoughts?
So joined project for 7months, SM and supervisor loves me and supporting me for promotion. Then today, I got the news they rolling me off and replacing me with...continue..
On a promotion year, can I ask my manager whether they support my promotion when I roll off? Is this frowned upon?
Dear 🐟, if someone doesn't dial into a call for an internal initiative on a Wednesday. Understand that client service takes priority and do not raise up to Sr Management. Could be you one day...
Can you negotiate your salary bump when you get a promotion? Have never been in the position before but hoping one’s around the corner soon...
What’s an appropriate raise to ask for after a strong year? Last year I received close to 10%, though I’m still underpaid. Was thinking about asking for 15%?
EY 🐟 when do we find out our rating and raise? For ACP it looks like everything is earlier/pushed up this year.
How much of a raise do you normally get when you move from one firm to another firm, of a similar caliber, at the same level?
Need Help Please. Need examples of co-promotion from brands. I'm working on a campaign for two products that are similar in nature and want a dual brand push. Know of other side by side campaigns?

Any BCG 🐠 willing to spare 30-40 minutes over the weekend giving a mock case? Would be much appreciated! Have an interview coming up in 2 weeks. Adding a burner here email@example.com
I know many with families etc are very happy about this long term WFH situation, but I’m a 23 year old who picked this career over other offers because of the travel opportunities and the ability to live in a large city. Is it crazy for me to get into industry earlier because of the pandemic?
How many of you would seriously consider moving companies if they somehow revoked your ability to keep points/awards/miles/status from business travel?
Has anyone who travels regularly to the same client city tried Daily Harvest? Do you like it? And how do you expense it?
*sigh* Will I ever find a company that cares about HR professional development as much as the employees’ we help? Getting sick of hearing about how development is so important to the company (often during orientation) but when I ask to attend a conference or get a certification, it’s crickets! I have more education/experience than most of the people we ‘serve.’
https://www.theweek.in/news/biz-tech/2020/05/09/trump-govt-working-to-temporarily-ban-h1b-other-work-visas.html I tried to find the original WSJ report quoted but couldn't find it. Nevertheless this needs to be shared so that anyone planning on STEM OPT extension, H1B transfer, extension etc can expedite.
Every week there are holes in my sheets or stains on the towels. It’s a Marriott Autograph hotel. It’s gotten to the point where I take weekly pics. How can I leverage this for more points weekly?
Have an offer from PwC (Senior Associate FS Insurance) and Accenture ( Consultant FS Insurance) which would be a better career move?
Why is it that it's OK for my colleagues to get drunk every night during the week, but I can potentially get fired for smoking a joint on the weekend?
