Unfortunately, tough market right now in SG - worst it’s been in about 16 years. If you have a lot of experience in FS or fintech, you might have an advantage. Barring that, expect a lot of rejections or non-responses.
Thank you
Make sure you take into account the rent and work culture
Thanks for the input
Please don't, the prospects and market are very bad right now. In case you lose a job, you will be kicked out within 30 days, but still obliged to pay your rent/utilities as per 1/2yr contract (many companies have frozen hiring or are letting go)
as crazy as Australia has been, you're better off staying in AU.
If you've read the news just read how many SG residents want to get out to Australia, amongst other countries...
As you'll need sponsorship it will be a challenge and 1-2 yrs not very significant for SG. SG legally prioritises Singaporeans for roles under $23K so this will be very tough in this environment when plenty of locals and experienced expats have been retrenched and looking for similar. Maybe look to transfer with current employer?
