I have an interview with Korn Ferry for an associate principal role and am curious about others’ experiences have been with work-life balance here. Also, I have an idea of what I should be compensated in this type of role, but any insights on how they pay compared to others would be helpful. Are you traveling during the pandemic or have client interactions been virtual? Lastly, if you are a consultant here, are you on billable hours? My current consulting role is not - so this would be new.

Starting the interview process with another company in industrials, and my current TC is ~$600k. Headhunter wants to chat about comp expectations - anyone have advice on how to approach? Is there a minimum bump people tend to shoot for before making the jump (e.g. 25%)? Trying to keep it clean and focus on annual TC, but plan to also communicate I expect to be made whole on my unvested RSUs . TIA!

I’m currently a tax senior associate at M&A group with a big four thinking about switching to international tax group because international stuff sounds more interesting. What does international tax group do day-to-day at a big four (heard could be more compliance work)? Will you actually learn the rules on subpart F, GILTY, FDII etc.? And is the workload more constant compared to M&A?

Are the salaries paid to those with no advanced degree comparable to the salaries paid to those with advanced degrees (e.g., JDs) by manager level in ITS?

Hi all, had a situation I need some help with. PE fund owned interest in a bank that was a CFC that has 965 PTEP. Recently sold off part of it's interest and the bank is no longer considered a CFC. Under the new PFIC regs, I believe it qualifies as a PFIC. How would distributions be treated seeing as it would still qualify as a specified foreign corp?

Need some advice. Recently joined my dream job, but the director I work for demonstrates toxic behavior. I have been only few months in this role and it would not look good if I start looking again. Leadership is aware, but they can’t do much because of some internal politics. I am 100% staffed on her projects and it becomes overwhelming mentally. These are multi-year SOWs and large clients. Would you try to make it work or start applying somewhere else?
