Ok I get it now. I had to make one of those too.
The way I was thinking of putting it in is to make the absolute best version of that ad (with the best copy you could master) as an example in the beginning and then go into the details of the toolkit. Show the design system (fonts colors layouts etc) and then examples of local market using it (same ad in 4 different languages or wherever specifics are). If it's adapted for any other medium but print, show that too. And then maybe some examples mocked up on a bus shelter (lol).
Ultimately I decided not to put it in because what I got wasn't very interesting, so I got rid of that piece. But if you can make it fun and a worthy piece, go for it!
Is this wrong that I don't understand the question? 👁️.👁️
Aww crap sorry! Tried to squeeze stuff on 140chars it didnt make that much sense. Allow me to rephrase; there is a project I worked on while on the agency. What we were making is a toolkit for a regional campaign (4 markets/ countries). My contributions were some of the concepting (what to do on ground, supp ideas), and making key-visual (art direct + produce), and making collaterals (art direct + design + produce) for print and digital stuff. No films/ no shooting. These are all assets and guides for local agency to takes on/ runs. I don’t get to see the campaign going live in person— because our agency is faraway from these markets. But I would like to put this project on my book because I think it can help to sell my skillset as an art director. Now... how do you put this kind of project on your portfolio? Do we need to specify “toolkit”? Or is it worth to put on book at the first place? Thank you and sorry for broken english!
Ah thank you AD 🤗
