Question for logistics based analysts... say you are a logistics company, and you expect 48 or more vehicles a day... What staffing do you require?

Me, I start with 48÷24 = min 2 an hour. But if 48 turn up between 6am and 6pm ... That's 4 per hour... So contingency wise, go for 4. Not 2.

If your management doesn't factor in the spike and goes for 2 loaders not 4, carnage ensues. I've tried explaining this, and management don't get it.

I have an offer for $130k for a senior attorney position in a boutique L&E firm. Also have a recruiter who thinks she can get me into another for $150-170k. Both are more than I’ve ever made (Denver, 17 yrs of experience but completely different practice areas). Any tips for countering the $130k offer for more using the other potential offer while not risking a complete withdrawal of the current offer? I’ve never been in a position to bargain my starting salary so this is all very new to me.
