Question for the group..

I joined AFS about 3 years ago, I’m making a little over 200k base as a manager L7. What kind of salary could I see if I make it to L5 Associate Director or like a tech director? I’m considering tagging up with my buddy here in San Antonio, he runs a small subcontractor and has a lot of work. I could be making well over 300k-500k in a matter of years on that front but obviously less secure. Thoughts on career path?

Is this package good enough or I'm underpaid and need to make another switch?

Outside counsel has been prepping company witnesses for a trial in August. It is my subject area so I am supervising outside counsel. I did not, however, choose the counsel. He is doing a really awful job. Co counsel is better, but not great either. Higher ups love the firm… I do not want to micromanage, but I have genuine concerns about outside counsel’s ability to try this case. I had my Assessor interview this past week and received a pre-screening questionnaire that asked about dual citizenship status. Because I don't even have a passport for the country I am a dual citizen for, I didn't even think about the possibile complications this could lead to with my application. I applied through a career fair at school and didn't see the citizenship requirements, so I guess that's on me.
