Question: I am taking up a new job in the PR industry. It’s my first in the United States. I’ve negotiated salary but it’s still not that great. But I don’t know if I should go ahead with the offer or not, cuz I’m not sure what the range I should be looking at? The designation is Asst. Account Exec and based in NYC. What do you guys think? Also, given the economy I don’t want to be picky either. But I just want to get an idea of the salary range from people working in the PR space.

What should I pay a part time PMM at a Series A funded, Y Combinator-backed Fintech SaaS startup working 20 hours a week whose job it is to assist the CMO (me) with setting up and managing a product marketing function? 👉Just ask for it. Really, you would be surprised. Might be easier to switch to a new company and ask. I did that 3 years into my career.

And 🛑 wasting your time at a company that under-values you severely. Sometimes switching companies every 2 years or so will allow you to keep raising the bar for yourself.
