Question: So I had requested a vacation weekend off where I was out of the state. When I return from that weekend off my boss actually told me that I was out of line by not "checking in" at my job and not being accessible to them during the weekend. I am flabbergasted and needless to say they fired me today for calling out due to COVID and not checking in again. How is this LEGAL?

Next week I’m having my first lateral interview as a junior associate. I’m very nervous because the group with whom I’m interviewing works with life science/tech clients and the attorneys have strong science/tech backgrounds; and I do not. However, I am very, very interested in transitioning to this practice. And I reaaally want this job because it’s at my dream firm. How would you recommend preparing for the lateral interview?

Hi all, I have recently received an entry level offer from BCG Dubai.
I have 3+ years of experience out which half in consulting and half in managerial role in corporate.

Would love some insight on how you went from an HR assistant/coordinator to an HR Generalist. I’ve been in the HR world for 8 years, and only in the last 2-3 have I really done real HR work. Been searching for work for about 2 months now, and I can’t tell what companies are looking for anymore. I have 2+ years as an AE full cycle. And I get rejected left and right. My resume is up to date, I’m applying non stop, what else can I do?

Now I’m actively looking for a new sales position, have tons of experience, but am struggling to even get a response from job apps. I am wondering if this is because of my employment gap?
