Quick H1B question. If I am working in company A and got an offer from company B and they applied for my H1B transfer and it went through. But I am no longer interested in joining company B, are there any repercussions or can I just tell company B that I am not interested and continue with company A ? (I assume that I can continue working on my existing H1B petition). Could someone clarify please?

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients).
