Be willing to do s5. There will be a huge weight on your shoulders coming in as an M. And you’ll have a lot more to prove. Push for a higher salary, and you will get promoted within a year anyway. There’s a lot of EY processes to learn and master that you are expected to handle as an M. I really think this would be fine. But if you want to push for it, you have to make them comfortable with the fact that you can handle at least ten or more hours a week of admin work on top of billable and other internal and extracurricular activities.
Yup definitely going to bring in the BD portion since that is what I do. Currently operate as an engagement manager. But you sparked a clarifying point; I think he was hung up on my current title as a consultant. My firm is weird, we start everyone as a consultant...VPs, directors, even previous partner at Accenture.
