Hey guys. I have been applying to Amex for the past 1 year. Tried applying on the portal, through referrals and even hr consultants reached me regarding the roles since I have a relevant profile. But not once have I been shortlisted or called for an interview. What could be the problem?
PS: I have gotten calls from every other company for the same profile but not amex. Can't be a problem with the profile. Seems something dicey which I'm not aware of.American Express
Let me share my interview experience with Amazon India
1. Cleared 1 screening and 2 technical rounds. I got confirmation that result is positive but position is closed. We are referring u 4 another role. 2. Again 1 screening and 2 technical rounds which got cleared. On the day of final leadership interview got a call from recruiter that this position is closed. Refering u 4 another role. 3. Direct technical round. Got rejected. No more referal 😀

My answer was to open a consulting business to fill the gap. It ain't paying the bills, but it is giving me occasional accomplishments to fill the resume.
I also created an online data driven resume. Costs me about $15/month in Azure compute time, but it allows me to show off what I do.

That is crazy! Looks like it is time to fudge my resume a little to help ensure I get past these systems. I suggest you put a line saying you are working as an independent contractor/freelancer so it looks like you don’t have a gap on your resume. When interviewing be vague with the company names or say you have signed a NDA but describe your duties to fit the job you’re currently interviewing for.
