Context: Graduated in 2019 (Finance), 2 years at EY as a business consultant on mix of pmo projects and tech projects where I was developer (data vis, power platform, sql, vba, data analysis etc.). Joined Google on a 6 month contract as a data analyst.

Should I be applying for product analyst roles? Should I apply for strategy consulting? Could I go straight for prod mgmt roles?

I like my role (sourcing, modelling and strategy integration), however I don't see myself working in this industry long term. Without a generalist IB background, are my chances of transitioning over to a different Industry low? If so, is there anything I can learn or do (excluding IB)?

I have an interview with Korn Ferry for an associate principal role and am curious about others’ experiences have been with work-life balance here. Also, I have an idea of what I should be compensated in this type of role, but any insights on how they pay compared to others would be helpful. I’m so grumpy about new campus hires. Sometimes I’m judgmental (your hobby is “working on your golf swing,” really?). Sometimes I’m just exhausted by the worried earnestness.
