If my life is in any way inconvenienced or 1 minute of time is taken away from doing what I want because of work you are getting a bill for it

I bill for the time I work and costs incurred (plane tix, WiFi on the plane to do work, car rental, hotel, uber, meals).
I don’t bill for time that I don’t work.
You can’t bill for every minute you are out of town. And you should check the client billing guidelines to see if you are allowed to bill for travel alone. That being said - you are certainly allowed to bill for every minute you spend preparing for the deposition - including prep during travel. Hope this helps.
I would bill for all travel time and anytime actually spent working on the depositions while I was there. I would also submit expense reimbursements for all meals, accommodations, and travel expenses incurred for me to be present at the out of town depositions.

I’d only bill for time spent sleeping if I dreamed about the matter
