I’ve been wondering about her. Her fawning, acquisitive emails about the expensive fashion items he gave her are nauseating. I haven’t seen anything Karp level yet but the GC at a place like that should have gravitas and an impeccable reputation. She’s definitely diminished by the disclosures.

A3, the recruiter dismissed his conduct as “bad optics.” In my view what he did is much more consequential. I have a real problem with people who excuse serious misconduct by privileged people.

Is this really the worst things lawyers at this level are involved with? Not to say all clients are equally unsavory, but there are certainly more objectionable interactions and moves that are far worse and doesn't get anyone fired. People just don't like this being out in the open, since it's a small view into what really happens behind the scenes.
