Look at the videos of them. Check the recent one out where they almost attack the CNN reporter. They're out there protesting trying to get their voices heard, and yet they're threatening the media and telling them to "get the fuck outta here". They block highways, thereby affecting the lives of normal people when their anger is at the police? They use protests in Baltimore as an excuse to riot and steal from stores like thugs. Of course they're idiots.
Attack on the cops is attack on this country, it's people and what the country represents! You can't kill randomly the people who put themselves daily in situations to provide you safety. This needs to stop :(
D1 a gun control law will not stop this. There are more guns on the streets than people in this country. They aren't going away. Maybe if black lives matter shifted their focus away from blaming the white man and into their own communities where black on black crime kills exponentially more black men than police, then maybe this shit gets a little better.
I can't believe we are witnessing this in a 21st century in supposedly most liberal and educated country like US. What's wrong with people, executing cops or one another is definitely not an answer to our problems! One of the many reasons why this country desperately needs a gun control law. Saddening!
Further reason why their idiots, as I explained earlier: they focus their anger and protest at police, but not at each other. Black on black violence kills probably 200 people for every one cop related death. Protest that shit al sharpton. That's the real issue. If you're a cop assigned to work an area with high criminal activity, your on edge at all times. If this douche bag in Louisiana wasn't illegally carrying a weapon and didn't resist arrest he's alive right now, albeit back in jail where is child molesting criminal ass belonged. But he knew he was in the wrong and he knew he was going to jail so he resisted and got shot. Not saying the use of force wasn't excessive because I wasn't there, but if he listened to the police and wasn't breaking the law, he doesn't have to worry about dying. And these cops in Louisiana aren't dead today, along with the innocent cops in Dallas.
I hope the police go back to busting people in the face like the 60s and 70s. It's war on them and I would rather see the police go home at night, not these losers. I got friends and family that are cops and they are the nicest people ever. Tired of the shit bags out there doing what ever they want and when they get caught they play victim.
P2 *they're. Who's the real idiot here?
Pwc1 and pwc2 are making me sad
My overall thought is this: the world is built from probability distributions not binaries. The desire to take sides reduces public discourse and solves nothing satisfactorily.
You don't see these idiots protesting every time a child gets hit with a stray bullet in Chicago, where they have more shootings in a weekend than all the black men killed by law enforcement in a year.
I'm sad to see innocent people die weather they're cops or not. I don't understand how people continue to oppose gun control.
Ban assault weapons, ban open carry, shut gun show loopholes, make it much more difficult to get a gun, limit ammunition. Has the last 5 years not proved we desperately need more regulation?
Hi, I am from Chicago. The idea that no on here cares about black on black crime is a strawman.
Where's the outcry for that BCG? Where are the mass protests? What is being done about it? To me I think that's much more important and issue than blue on black crime, yet there is no voice. Apparently black lives only matter when it's a cop on the other end of the gun.
Obviously cops should not be killed. But cops should also be held accountable for using excessive force. If they were held accountable maybe these insane unstable idiots wouldn't be inspired to irrationally kill cops in the first place.
This is truly sad and there is a lot of misinformation being propagated by even intelligent people on here that makes it worse. I can't imagine what even less informed people are saying and thinking. From early reports this incident is most likely not related to recent cop incidents and protest. It's good to remember that violent crime has been trending down for a decade plus now so keep that in perspective. Killing cops is abhorrent. Fortunately, cop murders have also been steadily trending down over the years. The majority of cop murders are committed by white males at 52% despite the fact that police encounter minority suspects much more frequently. So let's not find scapegoats and create divisions for these horrible acts of violence against cops. Most murders are committed by someone of the same race. That goes for all races, white on white, black on black, Hispanic on Hispanic, etc. All lives matter and saying black lives matter, or blue lives matter is not mutually exclusive so why these statements be deemed inflammatory doesn't make sense unless you don't agree that they matter. Let's not confuse media personalities pushing an agenda for ratings for a factual take of the situation. We all need to be more open minded and emphatic to one another.
I back the bule
@P2 100% right
I ain't your fam. You let the hate go. What further in depth understanding do you have? There's no outrage in your city and protests and streets shut down and all the other BLM tactics over Fourth of July weekend when hundreds of shootings happen, the overwhelming majority of which are gang related in the black community. Where's the outrage there? Nothing. No protest.
PwC1 with the cold, hard facts. Thanks for highlighting how black and white this issue is.
@PWC2 and the rest who want to see only black and white. Protests and action happens in chicago all the time, but it is people taking action in their own community and it isn't loud enough for the news cycles. BLM is about protests because the protestors feel like the cops are not part of their community. And they aren't - the community based policing model is not often used in poor black neighborhoods. When it is, the results are dramatically positive on both sides and the cops and the citizens fee more comfortable with each other. Here is an article showing the type of stuff that happens in Chicago: https://www.dnainfo.com/chicago/20151201/downtown/chicagoans-actually-do-protest-violence-their-communities-all-time
