Usually easier to roll a bunch of awards into a better comp at a different agency vs getting a raise.

There’s always greener grass. Just ask people that left wieden.
In my experience, I got what the agency considered a bigger percentage raise and a decent bonus. But if I really wanted to leverage my killer project, I should have left.
If you’re looking, awards make you sexier. But there still have to be jobs (there will def be more of them for someone who’s hot right now and people will take your calls much easier).
It also depends what sort of thing you’ve done. Is it a sexy project with some innovation? Is it a clear awards grab or more client related? Did you put an agency on the map or are you at a place that often pumps out winners? The answers will determine how much people value you.

Should they? No.

In that case — no.
I’m sorry — a 20% raise? That happens once a career.
I got 3 of those. In the same agency. My previous one.
Yes, it does - especially when you change agencies. In an industry full of subjectivity, it’s the closest thing we have to certification
