Hello Guys,
I Got one Offer from Fynd but that is too low for me and as per my expereince
They are giving me 9 LPA bcz I quoted that amount when I applied for it long back. at that time I didnt know more about how salary and all calculated and whats the market research
Now after clearing all the rounds when we meet for salary discussion i told him my real desired salary as per experience and market reseach
He told me that I quoted 9 LPA so we can not do more "unless you have any counter offer"

Guys , whoever is interviewing and planning to join , do ask project availablity on priority basis before you take decision. On Java front looks like there is some project issue due to recent slowdown in market. My offer was not revised even after agreement with recruiter because of this.

I don’t know if I’d define Facebook as a “social media company” in 2018 but sure
How limiting is working for a social media company
They pay amazingly well and the benefits are best in the business. On the other hand, you’re working for the devil, and you have to be prepared to drink the kool-aid.
@OP fair enough. Not sure which agency discipline you’re in, but I wouldn’t get too over confident. That’s also not the company culture. What is a part of the company culture is asking questions and being open to what you don’t know. I would take some time with the open rec’s on careers@, see what feels best, and then reach out to a friend to ask the question, what the hiring manager is like, culture, etc That might also help with your vision at the company
Depends on the role and what you’re being asked accomplish.. analytics? Client partner? Creative strategist? The culture is amazing but very different and you have to be on-board. Did you get an offer or just applying?
Wha would you define Facebook as op?
“The devil?” Why?
@digitas - I’d call Facebook a media company. Tons going on there from messenger to Instagram to occulus to original programming and live streaming professional sports etc
@freelance and creative strat: haven’t applied yet. I know enough people there that I’m confident I could at least get an interview pretty easily but I’m not sure which type of role I’d want (other than not sales) and I don’t want to exploit a relationship if I’m not sure I want to make a move there.
I’m in planning but I started my career out as a writer.
@account supervisor - because their product is destabilizing our society and making people miserable. Because they pretend to be this values-driven company that “cares” about you when that couldn’t be further from the truth. They constantly introduce features that are the opposite of what people want (not silly things like reskins, things like algorithms on instagram). They don’t listen to anyone anything says until it’s such a major issue that it disrupts elections, and even then it’s a year and a half too late. They “move fast and break things” which is a fucking irresponsible mantra when much of the world uses your product for hours per day.
NOTHING they do has a positive impact.
