Not every day that I see a manager resume with volunteer experience.
Usually, it's more common with entry-level folks who want to pad their resume.
I say take it off.
It's worth letting people know about it if it's the kind of pro bono work that says something about you. If it's not really aligned with your work skills, it might be best to mention it in a cover letter rather than a resume. An example is a friend of mine is a lawyer and he volunteers for a mountain rescue group in his area, rescuing stranded hikers and climbers. Just seeing that says something about him, and there's no point not to have people know about it.
When I was first starting out and didn't have much on my resume I always put my volunteer work on there as well as my college leadership roles. As time went on and I got more experience those things came off my resume. They can definitely help enhance your resume so I say leave them on there.
Absolutely leave it on! Volunteering work is a great way to show that you give a damn about your fellow man; a pretty good quality to have as a manager! Doesn’t matter a jot if it aligns or not with your work skills, what are you meant to be, a robot? Emotional intelligence and soft skills are part of being a good manager, not just that you know work process XYZ, and showing you’ve done volunteer work shows empathy.
I would if you have room for it. Unless it's religious or political. But I would say that volunteer work helps show the kind of person you are. Note I have no HR experience lol so looking forward to reading what others think!
I would leave it out, unless the hiring company has a culture that promotes volunteer work, or the volunteer work added experience or skills relatable to the job.
Companies don’t hire you for unrelated skills, experience or hobbies.
If you have the space to fill, it might be helpful to include it but if you're resume is already pretty full, you can leave it out
