Got messaged by a C3 . ai recruiter. Read that wlb is bad and that the interview process is absurdly long, but the Glassdoor reviews are 4.2 and can't find actual hours worked posted by anyone. How's the culture really? I'd be aiming for DS consulting, something more functional but with DS/ML concepts as my differentiator.

I respect all women. I call and tell my mom all the time that I appreciate her so much. I don't have children and life is overwhelming for me so I can only imagine. I wish you the best and I hope you get peace soon.
Rising Star
I know this is just a phase, but I hate that my husband is missing out on it.
Shout out to all the single moms out there! I am married as well and I am so thankful for my husband! I feel your pain on this one, though. My husband often has work trips where he's gone many days at a time. Those days are hard when he's not around.
My kids are grown and out of the house. One lives in Cali. but when they were growing up (3 boys) my husband went to work when I got home and worked till 3-4 am. What I had to learn is when to let go, when to pull in, and how to navigate the teen years. We had a 'family meeting' every Sunday eventing. In retrospect, it was a good thing to introduce them to when they were little because once they were older they didn't fight the process but they did have lots to say lol
Definite shout out to single moms or married moms who are raising kids solo! 💪🏼
Parenting is definitely challenging, but you aren't a single mom. If you were a single mom you would need to work all day to support your kid then do all of the home tasks after you finished working all day.

I don't know how they do it. I manage about 80% of all home tasks and even more so with regards to the children probably closer to 90% there. But I know that if I need a break, he will find a way to be there, and if he didn't have to work so much, I know he would be more of a help. This Easter weekend almost broke me. He worked all day Friday, Saturday, and today. Managing a road trip to see grandparents, Easter egg hunts, and Easter basket magic and the regular life tasks is all so exhausting! I have no clue how single moms manage it.
