Sleep help! My 3 year old isn’t going to bed until 9:30 (sometimes 10!), still napping at daycare. What time do yours go to bed and do we have to drop the nap? On weekends he seems like he needs the nap by 1/1:30 (fussy, sleepy) but then the bedtime is so late. We have no downtime and need advice!

Lived through this too. Not until shifting to kindergarten did it officially change. You can talk to the daycare about other kids in the same boat (guarantee other parents of 3yos are in the same boat) to see if they’ll allow a “walkers club” or something for the kiddos who just don’t need that nap anymore. Sometimes they will accommodate, esp if other parents are asking too. Good luck sister this was a tough phase !

Hi, it sounds like you need to drop the nap but it’s hard with daycare. We were in the same boat with our daughters in daycare at 3yrs old as their daycare said the kids didn’t have to sleep but they did have to lay down and rest… and our kids would also sleep. It’s a tough cycle. Hoping your daycare will drop the nap! And then it’s like magic, they’ll be back to a 7:30-8pm bedtime!
