Hello Deloitte 🐠 20 YOE. Have referral for a content and marketing M role in cybersecurity -- the focus of my career pivot. Submitted my application today, but my referrer isn't in Cyber. Interested to widen my Deloitte Cyber network to get my resume in front of a human, since ATS has no vision or imagination. If you're willing to connect, please DM. So far, made it several interview rounds into roles with EY and Accenture. Optimistic, but want to be as proactive as possible. Thanks!

Also, for those in firms, what’s your billing rate?
Boutique, 10-15 attorneys. 350 ish (2018 grad) when we actually do hourly work, but 90% of it is flat fee.
I can’t imagine not doing patent pros hourly. We only do it for smaller clients and I try to avoid that work if I can. Just creates unnecessary headache
I work in a boutique firm with about 65 patent attorneys. Quality is the main focus. Many partners told me to disregard my efficiency for the first year and just focus on quality. At 5 years, I bill $350/hr.
Conversely, I used to be in-house at IBM. Quality got lipservice, but no one really cared about it - they just wanted you do to at least X amount of work every quarter, and X was always increasing. Amendments were heavily preferred. I never wrote a single appeal brief while I was there. We didn't do billable hours, but when I left, I was making just under 140k/yr.
That’s interesting. I’ve heard some weird stuff about IBM. Had a buddy who worked there and said the same thing.
