Are you referring to the GoT/Bud Light work?
Its absolutely shameful that Droga haven’t been crediting Weiden Kennedy (for you know, coming up with the cultural equity of Bud Knight and the entire premise of that spot), or even simply acknowledging WK in any of the acceptance speeches they’ve done. Shows a complete lack of class, you’d expect more from Droga and team.
There was that. Also Johny Walker stuff by Anomaly, Oreo's by 360i, Shakeshack did something, Urban Decay makeup, Mountain Dew, American Red Cross, AT&T, MGM Resorts, MLB, John Varvatos, Addidas, Ommegang, OkCupid, Tervis, New York Media, MeUndies, Alex and Ani, and more. I think there were over 100 different brands all together.
I'm guessing they'll all be listed in the credits.
Maybe droga gets top billing ad AOR or lead agency. But, surely, everyone will get credit where it's due.
If other agencies are listed in the credits, the points for that award are shared between the agencies, rather than full points going to each agency. Which is bad news for anyone gunning for agency / network / holding company of the year.
🤷🏻♂️i doubt anyone at either shop is hurting for awards. But I assume people will get their slashes and put whatever work in their books. I doubt anyone cares about Cannes points or speeches or yada yada. If they do they have way too much time on their hands.
Loved that work. It already won big in my mind. And I’m all that matters 😎.
I get that they deserve the merit bc of the idea. But how does this affect those other agencies and creatives involved in the work?
