8 hours at minimum. But let me clarify that it took discipline, boundaries and intention.
I get 7-8hrs a night. I’ve had to get pretty tight with my days to do that. Sunday is the only time I don’t wake up early. Below is pretty much my carbon copy day.
5:30am wake up
5:30-5:50 coffee/ shake off the cob webs
5:50-6 cold plunge
6-7 workout
7-7:20 get ready for the day
7:15/7:30 kid wakes and family time
8:30-5:30 work
5:30-8:30 cook dinner, family fun, put kiddo down
8:30/8:45- 9:30 any additional work or just get prepped for the next day
9:30 in bed reading for 30-60 min. Take magnesium threonate as I wind down
Asleep 10/10:30pm
Try magnesium glycinate — it’s much better.
I’ve been living on about 6 hours of sleep most nights. I think it’s a mix of work demands and just trying to keep up with life, but I’ve noticed my mind racing at night. I’ve started a no-tech rule 30 minutes before bed, which has made a slight difference.
7 hours a night. 10 hours a day in total if you include naps during meetings.
I shoot for 8. Realized that I needed to focus on quality over quantity of working hours. Think we have all been in those situations where you death spiral - lack of sleep makes you dumber, which makes you work longer, which makes you sleep less, etc etc.
5 or less hours; but what makes it worse is that there is little consistency. The mix of work, travel and personal life demands is overwhelming.
5-6 hours/night but have struggled with sleep since I was little. I have just accepted it.
8-9. Sleeping is my super power.
Pro
I'm a bad sleeper but that's the only limitation most of the time
I am a light sleeper. So I have to be in bed for 8 hours to get 7 hours of solid sleep. I am heavily caffeinated and am also on antianxiety meds.
Before the age of 40, I had way more energy. Now, my routine is important to me.
5 and I take magnesium glycerinate. I wake up around 3:30/4:00am almost like clock work after going to sleep around 10-11PM and then drink camomile to get a few more hours of rest. I work remote so have that luxury but I’m in HR/Recruiting so all the stress of unknowns for the past few years doesn’t help with stress but I try to workout, eat well, etc to keep the mind at bay.
6 hours max.
Just waiting for the sweet release of a heart attack.
