I think the holding companies will be completely gone by 2035. Or they’ll evolve (or devolve) into 100% media agencies. They have no interest in creative and eventually, clients will have to realize they’re wasting their money with them.

Good art & copy will always be needed.
According to Omnicom, DDB is being merged with TBWA globally as part of a larger holding company restructuring and may lose independent status at the top level, but the brand will not be outright discontinued and is likely to continue operating in some capacity. The merged DDB/TBWA entity will operate as one of four main creative networks in the restructured company. In practice, the DDB brand may persist in some markets and legacy client relationships, even as global management and resources are increasingly unified with TBWA. So...not completely gone, but the ghosts of Bill Bernbach, Helmut Krone, Julian Koenig, and the rest are becoming increasingly spectral.
Thanks! What about Goodby and other brands?
Our emails have been switched to 'omc' but we're still very much GS&P through and through. We just got a new CEO too. And no announcement has been made thus far. So nah, I don't think so.
There’s no way Goodby loses its brand. You guys are kicking butt these days too
Where did you read this? Would love to read that article
It is in portuguese, but here you go: https://www.meioemensagem.com.br/comunicacao/rede-ddb-deixara-de-existir-no-organograma-do-omnicom
It's in the Brazilian trade press
Did the article describe what the other 3 networks will be comprised of? Curious about the big IPG agency brands being acquired: FCB & McCann.
Thanks. So, that’s 3 networks. What’s the 4th?
