Your skills transfer more than you think. Scheduling, inventory, managing employees - all of that is valuable. Office manager or maybe something in operations seems like it seems like it'd be a great fit for you and with much better hours.

That sounds incredibly frustrating—especially when you’re carrying the responsibility without the authority to enforce accountability. After 15+ years in retail, it makes complete sense that you’re burned out. The good news is the skills you’ve built (leadership, operations, coaching, problem-solving) absolutely *do* transfer outside of retail, and many roles value that experience at a comparable salary. You’re not stuck—you’re just exhausted and unsupported, and that’s a tough place to be.
Do some brainstorming and jot down what your core skills are. Once you start listing them you may realize you've got more going for you than you realize. And think about where you'd like to be working. You could go into sales, logistics, operations, and so on. Think of places where you'd like to apply and write up a resume and go for it.
Honestly at this point anywhere but here. I'm starting my 3rd week with no day off insight.

I’d say hospitality. But for a well established company with good company culture. You could easily fall into the same trap of working with an unreliable team that is rarely held accountable

I was in retail about the same amount of time and was able to get out of the industry. It’s not easy to do but you definitely can with persistence.
I guess when I look at job postings and it says "required to know" and then a list of programs I've never heard of I get discouraged
I've worked in retail grocery store, department store) since I was 15. I am currently going to school for Business Administration, mostly due to wanting to run my own business., I would suggest going back to school for something you have a passion for, or maybe a field such as Human resources at any company... Management no matter where are VERY HIGHLY in demand
I am looking to hire a hardworking assistant to support me in my work as a realtor. My current assistant just had a baby last week, so I need someone to help me post houses for rent and sale on Facebook Marketplace. No prior work experience is needed, and age is not a factor. This position won't affect your current job in any way. The offer is $500 per week
