Ours is not even a holiday weekend but since it’s destination we are staying a few extra days after to hang out with guests
Good to know, thanks!!
if you can avoid a honeymoon the day after the wedding i would. the few weeks leading up to the wedding you’re not going to be happy you also have to worry about packing and then immediately traveling the next day

I’d recommend staying a couple extra days! It’ll be nice spending extra time with your guests. For a Thursday wedding, maybe do something Friday afternoon? And then get an estimate of who’s staying into the weekend and plan something casual.
We got married on a Saturday and the majority of our guests flew in. Sunday was nice to spend time with guests. We drove home Sunday evening and had Monday to decompress before leaving for our honeymoon on Tuesday. I’m so glad we left on tues instead of earlier
We did something similar. We left for our honeymoon on Wednesday. That was the best decision.
I would recommend a staying and then going to the honeymoon. Releaxing for a few days before flying out will be really nice.
Hi there! Maybe you should stay the weekend first before flying out. It's great to have some quality time with them.
BBQ sounds great. It would be stressful to immediately leave after the wedding. We usually avoid something like that.
Give it a week or a few days after your special day. You still need to pack and prepare for the honeymoon. It would also be great to spend the weekend with the guest.
I recommend staying for a couple more days. We also have to appreciate our guests' effort and time.
