It really is remarkable how rude people have become. Over the past decade or so it's like a lot of people have just decided they're going to be rude and self-centered and not care about anyone else. Things that people used to be ashamed to do or say are now just considered ordinary. It's legitimately sad to see how society has declined.
I really think it's because people's attention is so fractured that they don't even realize when they're being rude. We are all looking at our phones so much that we hardly even know what's happening in the world around us. It's depressing, really. But I think it's less personal rudeness, and more just broken down attention/consciousness.
As Africa Americans it’s sad how we quickly throw one another under the bus. Being apart of leadership we abuse our power. Push up who we want too and hold back those we don’t like so much.

Agreed. Common courtesy just isn’t normal anymore. People avoid contact - I also blame it on the phones.
THIS IS AN ALL TRUE STORY!

Totally feel this—basic kindness shouldn’t be rare. It’s wild how far a simple ‘thank you’ can go these days.

What you’re saying is true…but I certainly don’t take it personal when folks don’t say thank you when I do something courteous.
