TBWA NY recruiter?
Ok be honest, candidates. I really love this set of questions, I’ve been considering shifting my current interview style to these questions - I think they really give you an idea of who this person would be within the work setting. But the questions almost feel too deep for a recruiter to ask. What would you think if a recruiter took a different path and asked these questions instead of the usual ones?

They probably can. Whether they actively search is a different story. Guess I’m curious as to why ? You always assume every candidate is actively interviewing.
I can’t be sure. But this has been my experience, yes. Also, recruiters are quite busy on a day to day level so it’s rare that they peek at what partner companies are doing with overlapping candidates. That is also just in my experience. And just on a philosophical point about recruiting, some of us believe fully that (even if we are part of a larger org w sub companies), the candidate can and should apply to whatever works for their career needs. It’s not our business to monitor your whereabouts even if it’s within our own holding company. I hope that makes sense. Good recruiters are on the candidates side!
Of course they can. If you can, they can.
