Job-Hunting reach-out to VC from previous fundraising effort for own startup
I have e-mail archive from 1y ago of my reach-out to 65 VCs in London: we had video calls, they might remember me still, who knows.
I want to send a reply/forward message to the same e-mail thread from abc@gmail.com, saying that I am looking for roles within their VC firm. Is that a good idea?
Or shall I just start new email thread and mention how I know them?

Report it to HR as harassment. I bet they'll know the difference then.

I’m trying to address it head-on and professionally before escalating. Mostly just want the mix-ups to stop.
🤦♀️ for real? Is the person doing this visually impaired or something? I'm not great with faces, but if I saw the same person at work every day, you better believe I'd be able to tell them apart. I don't even know what I'd do about this. What's the context? Are they asking you about things you know nothing about or something?

At some point it stops feeling accidental and starts feeling uncomfortable.
I mean, I would just be completely blunt about it. "Hey, so and so. You have repeatedly mistaken me for this other person, and we actually look nothing alike. It's starting to feel like it has a bit of a racist undertone because we both happen to be Asian. Could you please make an effort to learn our names?"

Direct is fair, but I think tone matters. Naming the behavior and giving them a chance to correct it can go a long way especially in a workplace.
