Someone please explain to these companies that designating a job post as ‘remote’ means you don’t need to post it separately for each individual state.

You actually do, though, because people search for jobs in their state.

But the location most likely isn’t actually in their state, and if they’re looking for a remote opportunity, then this is what the search results look like.

Most people search remote in their city, state not remote in United States

Because if the hours are 9-5 west coast time and you live in MD that difference in time zones makes a difference.
If you need to call your manager with a question at 8am or reach out to a customer in the morning, it matters.

It’s only one job and it’s probably where they have already have payroll set up for the state requirements.

LinkedIn is going full boomer-Facebook complete with pictures of a computer screen rather than a screenshot or “share” 😐 comments were fun too.

I woke up today tired.

My work cell was buzzing and then I remembered something.

I forgot to thank the bus driver that dropped me off a few days ago.

I got up and rushed downstairs to find the bus driver.

It was raining outside but I was already running barefoot to the bus stop.

I stood there soaked in my pajamas as the bus approached.

Then, the door opened. The driver got up and shook my hand.

I sat down and started my shift.

I’m the bus driver. Reminder to love and thank yourself.

Does anyone think it’s a good idea to beg for a job and put your personal life out there to get sympathy, because that is what I am seeing every day on LinkedIn and then the recruiters and everybody will comment and send the jobs and they will end up with a job or interview the next day.
I’m getting close to the point of doing that because it seems like it is working.
