Rising Star
Never be on your smartphone. Always walk a laptop or notepad. Block off large chunks of your calendar. Never respond too quick to emails.
Always ask deadlines (you’re not going to push back, but you say you’ll “move some things around”). Send things out on a regular cadence throughout the day not all at once. Send some emails super early and super late.

Funny thing is, you can get the high visibility stuff done and be more productive (in less time) than you were when you just said yes to every little thing
Talking a lot during meetings
Was told years ago to carry a shirt aroubd(retail job). And he was right. Never fails
Yep...unfortunately, visibility is more important than productivity/efficiency to some people...

It often is. I think the challenge can be more efficiency can just lead to more work. It’s harder to give more work to someone who looks busy.
Look for things to do. Emphasis on the word 'look'.
If youre put on the spot then you can say you were reviewing something or trying to find a solution to something, whatever it may be as long as its work related. Doesnt mean you have to actually do that work you're looking for.
Stay off the phone though. That usually doesn't go well.
I always felt like if you wanted things to get done, give it to a busy person. Maybe not...
