Soo WTF is going on in Polk County criminal court?! I’ve never experienced such blatant bias/partiality from the entire court before - ASAs, judges. It infuriates me. Anyone else?! As soon as I mention Polk County to a fellow colleague/mentor when discussing a case, they are quicker to suggest my client take a plea vs telling me to fight for my client. I want to let this go but I can’t. Someone needs to make some noise about this … if every attorney just succumbs to it, how will it change?

Note taking is not something I was ever particularly good at. Shorthand, symbols, abbreviations, multiple colors - they're all things I use haphazardly, and without consistency.
