Sooooo.....if somehow the unfathomable and ridiculous occurs and DC becomes the 51st state, we’ll have two Washington’s. Can’t have that, so one will need a new name. Care to share any possibilities? 🤮🤮🤮

And btw PwC 4 - my Trump flag is in perfect shape and will be flying high in 2024!

What about calling it Columbia?

Pwc 3 yes they have a house of reprentitive member like every state has. But they do not have 2 senators to represent them. No one in the senate is arguing for there interest. The fact that they have there own education, police and fire force shows that they have the infrastructure in place to become a state.

PwC 4 - “butt hurt”? How about you get your head out of yours and see what’s really going on. You clueless lefties are so quick to attack and insult. I guess that’s the only true defense the ignorant have. Tell us in 4 years - heck, tell us a year - if you’re better off than you were before idiot Biden et al took over.

No hope for the clueless apparently. Lots-a-luck to you.

OP is so butt hurt...their comments in this thread are hysterical. Probably has one of those wind tattered trump flags out front. Oh the outrage of DC statehood...never mind a failed attempt to steal an election and a cop killing insurrection.

Cop killing insurrection? What did I miss? Oh, the beating to death by fire extinguisher?

Im looking to transition myself back to IT/Tech, but am feeling apprehensive in getting the attention of recruiters with the industry switch. Currently an associate at a mid-sized firm with “strong potential” to make partner at the end of this year. Things have been toxic for a while, but have cratered in 2021, with few signs there will be any positive changes on the horizon. What are the pros and cons of staying to make partner before trying to go in-house? I’d assumed it would be better to job search with that title on the resume, but am rethinking my assumptions the worse things get.

Any experience working @ Chad Jones law?
I’m currently discontent with my income.
(3rd year. Salary=80k and no performance incentive. I brought in $1.4mm AFTER partners claimed over half of fees on my big cases.)
I see CJL offers an incentive+ base but I’m curious about that structure.
Any good or bad firm culture to speak of?
Is it impossible to actually earn a respectable incentive bonus?
Am I going to have some partner come cut me out of any cases where I might actually make a solid fee?
