Has anyone here participated in the year long remote year program? Interviewing question: for anecdotal “tell me abt a time when..”, & similar questions - are you allowed to recycle stories from your undergrad years or do they only look for post grad/work stuff? Afraid some of the stories that sounded okay at undergrad recruiting might now come across as a bit “lightweight” in this context...like would they eye roll if we start talking about that one time we did a science competition sophomore year of college (even though it taught an important lesson)..etc.🤔

I was a teacher for 4 years and transitioned into the corporate world. I have 6 months experience in marketing and that’s what I currently do, but plan for a lateral move in the future. I’ve seen suggestions of 3-7 years experience - does my teaching experience factor in? Or should I consider the 3-7 years only of my corporate time? Or is an MBA sooner a good move because of my big career transition (and future lateral)?

HYPSM ug in econ, 3.7gpa, GRE 169v/163m. 4 years exp (age 25) on matriculation (2 MBB, 2 int development). No promos.

ECs: founded social enterprise, journalism (on health, environmental inequities etc) at top pubs, published academic research, 4 yrs volunteering as advisor for social entrepreneurs. Recs good not amazing.

ST career goal = social impact VC; LT = social entrepreneurship.
